Electric Properties of Chiral Plasma Plumes Without External Magnetic Field

Helical and chiral plasma structures are ubiquitous, especially in nuclear fusion devices space plasmas. However, the spontaneous formation of helical has rarely been noticed non-equilibrium cold jets that have wide applications biomedicine material science. Recently plume without any notable asymmetry discovered. Under specific parameters pulsed discharges, bullets at beginning propagated straight lines spontaneously turn into 3-D discharge trajectories. Here, electromagnetic mechanism for plumes is clarified by numerical investigation field. According to standing-wave mode with periodic poloidal component simulation, a type which shows apparent rotation only position tube moves nearly line other positions revealed. These findings relevant development high-voltage active media artificial optical meta-material precise materials processing involving patterns diverse fields.
